Dissolved Air Flotation

Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit provides effective removal of suspended solids, fats, oils, color, algae, greases and other turbidity matters from liquids by separating the particles from water using floated air bubble. The working principle of DAF is opposite to conventional sedimentation principle that is widely used to treat water or wastewater. Instead of settling the contaminant to the bottom of the vessel, this technology float the contaminants to the surface of the water using air bubbles. Then, the contaminants can be easily skimmed from the surface. This principle gives lower chemicals requirement, higher removal efficiency, higher separation velocity and shorter retention time resulted in smaller footprints. 

Dissolved air flotation in solid-liquid separation is implemented through the introduction of micron-sized gas bubbles into the liquid phase. As the micro bubbles attacks to the solids, the resultant buoyant force of the combined solid-gas causes the matrix to rise to the surface where it is collected. An important principle of the system is the introduction of air or other gases into the recirculated effluent, and blending the recirculated flow with the influent flow. The two major application of DAF unit is clarification, where subnatant quality is the main performance, and thickening, where solids concentration is the main performance factor. The extension of this application could be applied in various industries but no limited to water works, textile, food and beverage, oil refinery, and municipal wastewater.


Reverse Osmosis Packages

The increase of the scarcity of fresh water and the competitiveness of membrane price make demand for water desalination. GLS provides two types of desalination unit based on its raw water characteristics: Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) and Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO). The desalination package fits to the water supply in Hotels and Villas, Industrial Area, Offshore, etc. With the range of water recovery up to 80% GLS Reverse Osmosis Packages is widely used.

GLS’s desalination package consist of four components: Pre-Treatment Sub System, Pressurization Sub System, Electronic/Instrument Sub System, with additional option of Post Treatment Sub System. Every element of the desalination package consists of complete equipment which can be optimized in accordance to customer’s requirements.


Ultrafiltration Packages

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a low-pressure operation membrane process. It effectively removes suspended solids and microorganism such as pathogens, when used for various types of water treatment. Derived by engineering excellence and membrane water treatment expertise, GLS ultrafiltration system utilizing its proprietary encompass reliability and efficiency in compact designs. GLS provides the ultrafiltration unit from the large-sized module to small-sized module that could be applied for drinking water production, industrial water treatment, seawater desalination (RO pretreatment) and wastewater tertiary treatment. 


Membrane Bio Reactor

Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) process is a combination of biological wastewater treatment and membrane filtration. Right after the biological treatment, the activated sludge is separated from the treated water by a ultrafiltration membrane. MBR is the latest world class technology to treat municipal wastewater as well as various industrial wastewater. With over 25 years of accumulate experience in the membrane industry, our membrane achieve extraordinarily high effluent quality by removing suspended solids and microorganisms such as Escherichia coli and Cryptosporidium from the sludge liquid much more effectively than the conventional sedimentation process. This MBR provides excellent matched in space requirement and will satisfy to treat domestic wastewater recycle in hotels, commercial buildings, and in industrial wastewater.
